A simple, private process you can do at home — no clinic visit needed.

Three Steps. That's It.

At-home insemination with the Prement Ring takes just a few minutes. Here's how.

Kit contents
1

Collect the Sample

Collect the semen sample in the provided sterile cup (included in Trial and Standard kits) or on the US-patented collection sheet (included in Complete Kit). Use the sample within 30 minutes of collection for best results. There's no rush — take your time in a comfortable setting.

Tip: Keep the sample at body temperature until use.

2

Draw & Insert

Draw the sample into the soft silicone applicator by pulling the plunger back slowly. Find a comfortable position — lying down works well. Gently insert the applicator and slowly push the plunger to release the sample. The smooth, rounded tip is designed for comfortable insertion.

Tip: Relax and go slowly. There should be no discomfort.

3

Rest & Wait

After insemination, remain lying down with your hips slightly elevated (a pillow under your hips works well) for 15 to 30 minutes. This helps the sample reach the egg. After resting, dispose of the single-use applicator. That's it — you're done.

Tip: Many users find this a good time to relax, read, or listen to music.

When Should You Use It?

Timing is one of the most important factors for success.

Recommended Timing of Use

Use during your fertile window — typically 24 to 36 hours after a positive ovulation test (LH surge).

We recommend using an ovulation predictor kit (OPK) to accurately identify your most fertile days.

Many couples choose to inseminate once on the day of the positive test and again the following day.

Day 1 Positive OPK → Inseminate
Day 2 Inseminate again (optional)
Day 3+ Wait and hope

Quick Questions

How long does the process take?
The actual insemination takes just a few minutes. Including the 15-30 minute rest period, plan for about 30-45 minutes total.
Can I use it with frozen donor sperm?
Yes. Follow your sperm bank's thawing instructions, then use the applicator as normal.
How many times should I inseminate per cycle?
Most experts recommend inseminating 1-2 times during your fertile window for the best chance.
Do I need to see a doctor first?
No prescription is needed. However, if you haven't conceived after 6 cycles, we recommend consulting a fertility specialist.
Can I move around after?
We recommend lying down for 15-30 minutes after insemination. After that, you can resume normal activities.
